The perfect family staycation destination
As a football junkie, I may appear a bit biased to some. But after taking my latest tour of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, I realize how hard its owners work to create an environment that is friendly to everyone in the family. Already known as the premier sports museum in the country, the Pro Football Hall of Fame has added interactive displays, videos and games that will amuse, interest and entertain even the most nonfootball-oriented person in your family.

Fresh new features
The old standards are still there, but many have a new fresh look. You enter at the signature rotunda, an area graced by the statue of the incredible Jim Thorpe and surrounded by an updated wall of museum history, including the current enshrinement class information and pictures.
The Hall of Fame Gallery still shows those hallmark bronze busts of every enshrinee. In addition, it now offers you the chance to see video presentations of your favorite players at the interactive touch-screen kiosks in the center of the gallery. And, of course, you can still follow the history of the NFL on a stroll around the top floor of the rotunda.

Two new galleries
But don't go thinking that you saw everything during your last visit! The hall is continually changing and adding exhibits, and this year is no exception. Two new galleries prove it: "Moments, Memories and Mementos" and "Pro Football Today."
In Moments, Memories and Mementos you will see memorabilia that function as windows to compelling stories about the Hall of Fame pros, including video and audio presentations, often in their own words. Pro Football Today features more contemporary themes, using high-impact video and super graphics to focus on the recent NFL season, NFL goes global, the pro bowl, rookie records, NFL MVPs, career records and mementos of the modern era. A personal favorite of mine is the video encapsulating a full season of football in just a few minutes. It's great fun to watch, even if you don’t understand football; and it's short enough to hold everyone's interest. I guarantee that you will see something new, even if you just visited last year.

Get in the game!
The lower level features games and other interactive features that can be enjoyed by the kid in all of us. Test your throwing arm for speed, or play Madden football in the Xbox area. Think you know the game? Take a seat and test your knowledge by trying to figure out the next play being called in actual game films. Also on display is a replica of each Super Bowl ring. There are lots of fun activities and interesting displays for everyone at the Pro Football Hall of Fame today!

Shop for NFL merchandise
When you visit, be sure to stop by the Pro Football Hall of Fame Museum store. It’s the only place that offers merchandise from all 32 teams in the NFL. You can find your favorites team’s logo on everything from pencils to plaques to shirts, as well as the most authentic jerseys available anywhere. I start drooling every time I set foot in this amazing store. Did you know you can visit the store without paying to enter the hall? That's because the Pro Football Hall of Fame Museum store is worth a visit all its own.
