The definition of a family sports pub

     True to the Irish storytelling tradition, the 25-year history of the Beef 'O' Brady's franchise is proudly told on its menu . . .

   In 1985, in Brandon, Fla., Jim Mellody dreamed up the idea of a neighborhood pub where friends and families could gather to enjoy good food and sports in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.

    Together, Jim and his wife, Jeanette, embellished the Brady family name to arrive at the unlikely, yet likeable, name Beef ‘O’ Brady’s. Regulars affectionately nicknamed it “Beef’s.”

    Jim's love of sports inspired him to offer as many games as possible to his customers, so he invested in TVs and satellite dishes. Jim covered the walls with authentic sports memorabilia he had collected and graced his menu with an Irish Blessing. . . He dressed his tender chicken wings with a tasty sauce he fashioned from his own recipe, tirelessly tinkering in the kitchen until he got it just right.

    Today there are Beef ‘O’ Brady’s popping up all over the country. Call it the “Luck of the Irish” with one good dream and a lot of hard work thrown in.

Committed to the local community  

    The local versions, located in both Wadsworth and Brimfield, just minutes from downtown Akron, are shining examples of Beef ‘O’ Brady’s overall vision. Both locations pride themselves on being a neighborhood eatery and have worked hard to have a strong presence in the community. Beef 'O' Brady's is a proud sponsor and supporter of the local youth sports scene, evidenced by the many jerseys and thank-you plaques hanging on the walls.

    The décor is similar to what many of us envision for a great, family-friendly rec room in our homes. Thanks to the multiple big-screen HD TVs, there is simply not a bad seat in the house for any game. And, with football season just around the corner, you won’t find a better place to watch every game!

Professionally trained chefs are not the norm in this type of restaurant, but these chefs provide that extra flavor that elevates customers' expectations and then exceeds them, all the while maintaining the incredible value.

     The chefs also try out new menu items every quarter and keep the most popular, expanding an already large menu of great food.  They’ve recently even gone a step farther, creating a whole new menu, in addition to their already large menu, only offered from 8pm to close.

    Beef’s also offers a great place for any gathering – from a company meeting to a birthday party – in a private room that holds up to 42 guests. In addition to incredible food, guests enjoy convenient access to multimedia presentation capabilities on two big screen TVs.
